- What moment of insight or revelation does the character have in this story? Do the scenes that precede it prepare readers to understand that moment of insight?
- Narrow down to one moment of insight/revelation.
- Currently have two different moments, try to identify one and expand on it rather than having two that don’t go into enough detail.
- Elaborate more on the moment
- What was it like?
- What happened?
- Did I see it coming?
- What parts of the story could use more detail or development?
- Add more detail about reading to my family.
- How long did I have to read to my family?
- How long did the reading go on for?
- Was it just one book or did I have to read multiple books to my family?
- How did my skill change as I continued to read?
- What was I like after I finished the book?
- Compare it to what I was like when I first started.
- How well does the ending work to connect the story to the writer’s present self?
- Too short
- Need to add more detail/an actual idea of what I’m like now
- Talk about how I still hate reading, but I’ve made lots of improvements on my reading, i.e.;
- Able to read aloud and feel confident in my reading
- No longer afraid of not knowing words
- Etc.
- REMEMBER TO COMPARE IT TO HOW I WAS BEFORE!!!
